Expert Analysis Group has the following permissions and its Appointed Representatives can undertake business that falls within these permissions:
Advising on investments.
Arranging (bringing about) deals in investments.
Making arrangements with a view to transactions in investments.
Agreeing to carry on regulated activities
Moreover, these permissions are limited to professional and quasi professional (typically institutions or corporates) and do not extend to retail clients. Importantly, we do not allow our Appointed Representatives to deal with opted up professional clients (retail clients who opt to be treated as professional clients).
These are typical of the permissions required by the following types of business:
Corporate finance
Capital raising
Private placement
Third party marketing
Independent investment advice
Investment research
Details of Expert Analysis Group's FCA permissions can be found at https://register.fca.org.uk/s/firm?id=001b000000MfrrqAAB.
To give you some indication on whether regulation is necessary or not, the following may be of help:
You need to be regulated if you are giving advice, in the broadest sense, to an investor or potential investor or an agent for an investor and that advice concerns buying, selling, subscribing or underwriting financial instruments (this would include buying a whole company).
You need to be regulated if you are making arrangements for, or are facilitating, another party to buy, sell, subscribe for or underwrite a particular transaction and/or you are receiving revenue/remuneration based on that transaction (for example through a commission, success fee, or a participation such as carry).
You may need to be regulated if you are indirectly making arrangements for, or are facilitating, another party to buy, sell, subscribe for or underwrite a particular transaction/financial instruments.
